About us
Maintaining the National Monument and stage programming are the Laurenskerk foundation’s most important tasks. The foundation receives a maintenance subsidy from the government, and is included in Rotterdam municipality’s cultural plan, however it mainly depends on income from ticket sales and venue hire.
Church services take place every Sunday and on Christian holidays

Organisation
The foundation’s focus is the maintenance of the Laurenskerk and its outbuildings as a monument, as well as the building’s use as a social and cultural centre serving the entirety of Rotterdam’s society. The foundation works towards this goal, while respecting the building’s significance, by organising social and cultural activities such as debates, lectures, meetings, exhibitions, and (organ) concerts.

Sustainability
Green Key Quality Mark
Green Key is a well-known international quality mark for sustainable companies in the recreation and leisure industry. The mark serves as evidence that a company does everything possible to minimise its impact on nature and the environment. This means Green Key companies go a step further than the standard laws and regulations require. Does this mean you’ll miss out on luxury? Absolutely not. One of the conditions of a Green Key quality mark is the the comfort of guests is guaranteed at all times.
Sustainable products
The Laurenskerk foundation aims to contribute to sustainability, which is why it opts to use disposable and biodegradable products. Biological Solutions helps us with this. The tea, coffee, and many other products offered in our coffee bar and shop are also Fair Trade.
