Organ lunchbreakconcert with Hayo Boerema

Making the organ accessible to a wide audience, that is what has inspired Hayo Boerema for twenty years as an organist, teacher and composer.

Date Tuesday 29 April 2025
Time 12:45 till 13:25 hrs
Price Free entrance, collection afterwards

With his interpretations, Hayo looks for contrasts and extremes in the compositions of both established and contemporary composers in order to captivate the traditional music lover and the more experimental music lover. His repertoire ranges from Sweelinck to contemporary music with plenty of room for Bach, Messiaen and French music from the 20th century. Hayo not only works as a soloist, but also regularly collaborates with choirs and instrumental ensembles.

Hayo is an award-winning and internationally acclaimed organist and composer and is the organist-titular of the largest organ in the Netherlands: the 85-part Markussen-organ of the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam. Hayo not only works as a soloist, but also regularly collaborates with choirs and instrumental ensembles.

Hyperorgel

Hyperorgel Rotterdam

In het koor van de Laurenskerk bouwen we een pijporgel van de toekomst, dat digitaal te bespelen is: een ‘hyperorgel’. Zo wordt het orgel toegankelijker voor een brede groep musici.
