After that he received lessons from Geerten van de Wetering for another year and a half. In 2020 he started at the Havo for Music and Dance (now Codarts lyceum), where he was taught by Aart Bergwerff. Since September 2022, he has been studying organ with Christian Schmitt, and improvisation with Hayo Boerema at Codarts University of the Arts. Since September 2025, he has been studying at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague with Hayo Boerema. He participated in several masterclasses by Vincent Dubois, Zuzana Ferjenčíková, Stephen Tharp, Ben van Oosten and Monica Melcová (improvisation), among others. He has already given concerts in the Netherlands, France and Denmark. As an organist, Martijn is broadly oriented with a repertoire that ranges from Renaissance music to contemporary music, with music from the 19th to 20th centuries as his core repertoire.
