Albèrt Driessen (Genemuiden, 2002) received his first organ lessons from Bert Gelderman at the age of nine. At the age of thirteen he continued his studies with Evan Bogerd, who also prepared him for his conservatory studies. Since 2021, Albèrt has been studying at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where Jos van der Kooy is his main subject teacher. He received minor piano lessons from Wim Voogd.  Albèrt also studied law at the University of Leiden. He is also studying church music at the Rotterdam conservatory Codarts.

In October 2021, Albèrt won first prize at the Quintus competition held in Kampen. Albèrt has won prizes in the conservatory category of the Duyschot Competition in all three of the editions held so far (2022, 2023 and 2024).

In 2020, Albèrt was admitted to the Young-Talent program of the International Organ Festival Haarlem, where he attended masterclasses with renowned organists.
Albèrt participated in 2024 as an organist in the Laurens Choir Academy, in which Wiecher Mandemaker and Hayo Boerema were involved as coaches.

Hyperorgel

Hyperorgel Rotterdam

In het koor van de Laurenskerk bouwen we een pijporgel van de toekomst, dat digitaal te bespelen is: een ‘hyperorgel’. Zo wordt het orgel toegankelijker voor een brede groep musici.
