Rijk Jansen studied organ with Albert de Klerk, piano with Danielle Dechenne and church music with Jan Boeke and Klaas Bolt at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. After obtaining the teaching certificates for organ and piano, the soloist diploma organ and the Practical Diploma in Church Music, he continued his studies with Jacques van Oortmerssen (interpretation) and Jan Raas (improvisation).

He won prizes at the Rijnstreek Competition, Nijmegen, the improvisation competition of Bolsward and of Schwäbisch-G’münd (Germany).

Rijk Jansen is cantor-organist of the Dorpskerk in Wassenaar, where he plays the Hinsz-Van Dam organ (1769/1792) and the Mutin-Cavaillé-Coll salon organ. He is active as a concert giver and teacher. He was also active on the administrative level: for example, he was chairman of the GOV – association of organists and church musicians for 8 years and of the SLSK, the national partnership of church musicians for 10 years.

Hyperorgel

Hyperorgel Rotterdam

In het koor van de Laurenskerk bouwen we een pijporgel van de toekomst, dat digitaal te bespelen is: een ‘hyperorgel’. Zo wordt het orgel toegankelijker voor een brede groep musici.
