Organ lunchbreakconcert with Evan Bogerd

He was prepared for his organ studies by Herman van Vliet in Amersfoort. He then studied with Jos van der Kooy at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. He finished his master’s degree with a 10 for the final recital.

Over the years, Evan has won several prizes, including the 1st prize at the international ‘Anton Bruckner’ Improvisation Competition in Linz and twice the 1st prize at the National Improvisation Competition in Dordrecht.

Evan Bogerd is driven to promote the organ to a wide audience. His antenna for interpreting romantic works earned many positive reviews in the press. Evan Bogerd has been cantor-organist at the Westerkerk in Amsterdam since 1 January 2020.
