Matthäus Passion Laurenscantorij and Laurensorchestra
This Matthäus is different from other performances in the country: freely accessible to young and old, in a monumental church, as part of a church service on Palm Sunday.
This form is not new. The Laurenscantorij has been performing Matthäus Passion like this for many years, just as the Laurenscantorij has also performed Bach’s cantates during cantate services. The Matthäus Passion was written by Bach as a church service. That’s how you really experience the music.
