We are silent for 2 minutes at 8 o’clock in the evening. Out of respect for the sacrifices that have been made. Sacrifices for our freedom. Will you be there too?
On May 4, the flag hangs at half-mast. On this day, the Municipality of Rotterdam commemorates all those – civilians and military personnel – who have died or been murdered in the Kingdom of the Netherlands or anywhere else in the world since the outbreak of the Second World War, in war situations and during peace operations. This year we commemorate and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands.
